The Nautical Summer

summer view to marine port

Hello Everyone,

Summer
is quickly coming to a close and that means back to school for some of
you, or back to regular work hours. However, all is not lost, we still
have a couple more weeks to enjoy the last bits that we still have. I’m
planning on stuffing my face with good food and making it to a few
events. I went down to the lake the other day to enjoy the day. This is
what I wore. It is simple, but you know I love simple. The outfit also
made me want to climb up on a boat and start sailing. Maybe one day if I ever own a boat, but for now I shall watch them parked from land.

Again,
thank you all for your comments, I’m currently working on some tips for
all you budget fashionistas that should be on the blog in a couple of
days.

If anyone will be in the Toronto area this weekend, African fashion week is happening this week from the 15th -18th. So, excited, and hoping to attend myself. Please head to the site here for more information and to purchase your tickets.Enjoy!

Love this nautical look! Maybe since the season is drawing to a close I can find an anchor piece on sale. It's been on my wishlist for a while.

New subscriber since 2 weeks ago.Really nice outfit. I live outside the GTA but work downtown. I'd love to know where the thrift stores you shop are as my location doesn't seem to have such nice clothing, and also which stores in Chinatown you frequent. If I didn't have plans already I would love to check out the African Fashion Week.

Thank you for following, means a lot. I will be doing a post very shortly on my shopping locations because I have gotten asked that question a lot. I go to Spandina ( China Town), there is a large mall there, up the stairs that sells jewelery and other stuff. You can also email me at sincerelymissj@hotmail.com with specific questions that I can answer directly there. A post will come shortly about thrift stores I frequent in more detail. But in short, I like The Black Hole ( Queen Street), Salvation Army & goodwill are my favs. Aww, no african fashion maybe next year!
