My Favorite Baby Registry Essentials

Baby sitting on mother feeding from a Philips Avent Natural Bottle

If you follow me on Instagram you know I regularly share my favorite discoveries about motherhood. It’s been over 6 months since our daughter came into our lives and with each day we bond, grow and learn together. One of the aspects of motherhood that I love the most is creating my own mamalogue with my daughter.  This is a dialogue between us where I have learned to listen to her through her unique movements, sounds, and my natural intuition.

I remember feeling incredibly overwhelmed with all the options of products when picking items to go on our baby registry.  We learned quickly that some items were basic requirements like a car seat and stroller while others were not a necessity but made my journey as a mother a lot easier and enjoyable.  I wanted to share with you my favorite baby registry essentials and how they helped me build a closer connection with my baby.

Bottle

Feeding time is one of my favorite moments with my daughter. She loves her food and it’s a time we can sit back and enjoy each other. It’s also a time where we can  snuggle close to each other and bond in silence. My daughter is both breastfed and bottle fed with pumped milk. I personally love the Philips Avent Natural bottles  because of the ultra soft and flexible nipple that does its best to mimic the look and feel of the breast.

Bassinet

My next favorite item was the bassinet which we used very regularly when my daughter was younger. I personally felt better knowing she was close to me. I liked the fact that it was compact and I could bring her with me to different parts of the house.

Diapers and wipes

These items are a must have on any baby registry because good quality diapers and wipes help make your day a lot less stressful.  It also keeps your baby happy. I personally love the Huggies little snugglers brand because the wet indicator easily lets me know when my baby is wet.

Baby bath tub and toiletries

A few weeks after birth, my daughter began loving her bath time. It was a great time for her to listen to music, spend time with me and play. I love the fisher price bath tub because it came with a removable mesh sling that supported her when she was smaller. Because the sling is removable, the tub grows with your baby,

Baby Carrier

After trying a sling carrier, I was hooked. I like how lightweight and comfortable it is. My daughter loves being held and I use the sling all the time to keep her close.  It allows me to do some things even with my daughter attached.

Now, I decided to do something very different and create some video content outlining and showing some of my favorite baby registry essentials. Please watch below:

Hope you enjoyed the post

I would love to hear your #mamalogues.

I think a bassinet is key too! Ours was a bit too heavy/bulky for my taste so I’m on the hunt for a new one this time around 🙂

The Rock n Play is a GREAT option to look into!

I love the simplicity of your essentials list. It’s so easy to get lost in the endless aisles of baby gear and find what you actually “need”.
I feel like there are so many options is can easily get overwhelming.

This is a perfect list. I think baby carriers are a must these days. As a suggestion, I would have added some cute toys to this list.

This is a wonderful roundup of baby essentials. They certainly do need a lot of stuff so making a list is definitely helpful.

I remember when we were registering for everything I had no idea what we “really” needed. The one item that I know we couldn’t live without were wipes! To this day we have them everywhere in our house for quick clean up and my kids are 9 and 11! But they are a critical piece of equipment to have with babies and children!

These are fantastic essentials! We’re just had baby number three so we’re very much in need of all of these once again! Thanks for the reminders! 🙂
