How to Throw a Magical Unicorn Themed Birthday Party + Printable

Someone turned one in early February and we celebrated the occasion by throwing her the ultimate magical unicorn themed birthday party. Although, unicorn themed birthday parties are super popular, it was easy to add our own personal touches to make it unique to us. Keep reading to find out how you can throw your own magical unicorn themed birthday party.

Unicorn Themed Invites:

Whether you do paperless or the traditional paper invites, infuse the unicorn theme with fun and colorful invitations.

Unicorn Themed Party Decorations

The party took place in my home and I opted to do all the party’s decorations myself. It took a bit of planning, but once I knew what I wanted to do it made things easier. I wanted the decorations to be pretty, simple and budget friendly.  Even as an amateur, I made my own balloon garland  using balloon vine which made the process easy. I also opted for fresh flowers and greenery to bring a little color and texture into the decor.  I made sure to use the loot bags, cute plates and napkins to add to the decor.

Unicorn Piñata:

A pinata is not a must but it was a great activity to have at the party for both the young and old. I tediously made this piñata and was sad to see it destroyed but it was worth the looks of joy on everyone’s face.

Unicorn Cake:

Make your party extra special by having a beautiful unicorn themed cake. This cake was created by Fruitilicious Cakes, a fantastic dessert company that makes the prettiest and tastiest desserts I’ve ever had. I have been using them for years and Sandra never disappoints.

Unicorn Themed Desserts

Once again Fruitilicious Cakes dazzled the guests with her beautiful unicorn themed desserts. I don’t bake, so I left that part to the professionals and I am glad I did because Fruitilicious ‘ desserts were a hit.

Unicorn Themed Loot Bags:

I loved the results of these unicorn loot bags and the kids loved them too. They were easy to make and went with the theme perfectly. All the supplies were purchased at the Dollar Tree. I spent a total of $5 and was able to make 15 loot bags. I will be sharing how I made them on the blog very soon, so stay tuned!

Unicorn Themed Activities:

We had multiple activities around the theme of the party like the unicorn themed piñata and the unicorn themed coloring pages. Coloring pages are cheap and easy activities for kids to do. I was fortunate to have an artistic sister who created these coloring pages for the party and I wanted to share them with you. Please, sign up by email here and receive your free unicorn coloring page printable.

Hope you enjoyed the post and received tons of ideas to throw your own magical unicorn themed birthday party.

Until Next Time,

Sincerely Miss J

This looks like an amazing party, with so much attention to detail! That pinata must have taken you forever to make! It looks like it took a long time to organize, but everything came out perfect.

This is so beautiful! My two-year-old’s favorite T-shirt has a unicorn on it. She would go crazy over this birthday party. I’m saving this post for her birthday next winter!
