DIY Christmas Garland
Christmas is quickly approaching which means time for holiday decorating and Christmas/holiday DIYs. Garland makes your home so festive for Christmas and is easy to make. This DIY Christmas garland is great for the mantle or can be hung anywhere you feel needs a touch of Christmas. You can also use these mini stockings as ornaments instead. The great part of this DIY is your kids can help out too.
How to Make Christmas Garland
All the supplies for the DIY Christmas garland were purchased from the Dollar Tree and it was easy to make! If your making this with your kids make sure you assist them in cutting out the fabric. You can also choose to paint, color in, or add glitter or embellishments to your stockings as well.
Supplies Needed for DIY Garland
Wooden Mini Stockings ( Dollar Tree)
Mini Christmas Tree skirt ( I used the buffalo check fabric with faux fur trim from the Dollar Tree)
Mod Podge
Black Ribbon
Twine String
DIY Christmas Garland INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1:
Trace out the outline of your stocking onto the fabric.
STEP 2:
Cut out your fabric and adhere it to your wooden stocking with Mod Podge.
Step 3:
Cut out the faux fur trim to fit the top of your mini stocking.
Step 4:
Cut a small piece of black ribbon and fold in half. Glue the ribbon to the back of the top side of your stocking.
Step 5:
String twine through the black ribbons and hang on the mantel or desired area. If you are making these as ornaments instead. Make sure to cut the black ribbon longer so it can easily hang on the tree.
I love how easy this project was and how cute it turned out. I am loving the buffalo plaid and it goes perfectly with the DIY placemat pillow I previously made.
I hope you enjoyed this easy DIY Christmas Garland Mini Stockings. If you try this DIY yourself be sure to tag me in it.
Until Next Time,
