Ajepomaa Patterned Skirt via Kuwala and Stripes

Kuwala Patterned Skirt, stripe dress shirt, african print, Toronto blogger, african style blogger, Ajepomaa

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and is catching up on some much needed R&R.

The other day I was speaking to a friend who was expressing how difficult it was to re-wear outfits after posting them on social media.

Personally, I have no problem repeating items of clothing or even re-wearing a full outfit from top to bottom with tiny tweaks. The reason is 1) I buy my clothes to wear them as much as I can and  2) I don’t have the disposable income to constantly buy something new.

As a style blogger I know first hand the pressure to always show something new or have the latest styles to showcase, especially when it seems like other bloggers always do. However, sometimes it’s not always possible. Therefore, you must learn to get creative and work with what you got.

I have worn this Ajepomaa patterned skirt via  Kuwala  in a previous outfit post found here, the key is to get creative. This time I switched up the cobalt blue top for a light blue striped blouse and flat shoes.

Do you often feel the pressure to keep up with others on social media or with other bloggers?
Which way did you prefer the skirt styled?

Hope you enjoyed the post!
Sincerely Miss J

You look Exceptionally Great as always! Love the outfit, especially the skirt and oxfords 😉 You're Intelligent just remember CPW (cost per wear) is our Financial Friend. Investing in the key elements stretches your wardrobe without breaking the Bank on any budget … I know financially embarrassed oh too well o.O lolMost bloggers repost/wear tops, bottoms, bags, shoes and jewelry if you watch closely, even Style Pantry and J'ADORE keep jackets, jeans, bags/shoes/accessories on repeat.Social media is overrated and often an illusion … but I'm not a blogger and while my wish list is long, for the most part I keep it just that … a wish 😉 Still Enjoy reading your posts just can't comment on every blog I follow … with my Humongous mouth *gotta work on that*Be Well and Have a Restful Sunday! 🙂

"My money is funny and my change is strange". I appreciate bloggers who re-wear, re-style or tweak clothing. Need to get my monies worth from things I buy.

Totally agree with you there. Part of fashion is learning to restyle old pieces in creative ways

My dilemma is a little different. I haven't posted an outfit yet, but yesterday I was saying today I would pose for some pictures for my blog. But when I went through my closet I felt like I had nothing to wear that would be would good enough or even different for the fashion blogging sphere. Have you ever had that issue? – culturedmisprint.blogspot.com

Good enough? What is good enough based on? At times we spend too much time focusing on what others are doing and that can get us discouraged. Fashion should reflect your style and vision. My suggestion is choose one key piece and style 3 outfits around that. This will allow you to focus and get creative. Share your closet with the world 🙂

I definitely know what you're friend is talkin about esp when you have statement pieces that you've worn but like you said the key is to find new ways to style them which I try to do as well…its fun to get creative in that sense too! Im loving this look! Think i prefer it over the other even though both are cute! PoshNPetite.blogspot.com
